Do your best

There is nothing more your child wants to hear when doing something for the first time. After having built prior experience with an activity such as kickball, archery, fishing or crafts, "Do your best" means much more. Coming from Akeelah, a trusted leader, it holds even greater value. That's why the scout motto is to do your best.

What is scouting?
From the scouting.org website "The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness."

Reasons to join scouting
The picture below is Kevin and Tim having some pie of two Cub Masters who rewarded three cub scouts being the top sellers of popcorn. The reward was that each scout was permitted to throw a properly thawed pie in the face of the Cub Master of their choosing. Two cub scouts chose lucky Mr. Kevin. Mr. Tim was the recipient of a long distance throw which landed on the side of his head. Both gentlemen have recovered nicely, and the scouts live are much brighter having tossed a chocolate cream pie correctly.
